Day 2

Father, you have known me even before I was conceived, and since then you have had a purpose and plan for my  life.  You care enough to know the number of hairs on my head. You know me better than I know myself.

My family, friends, and my culture try to mold and shape who I am supposed to be, but I ask that you mold and shape me.  I thank you for removing the limitations that I, and others, have put on myself.  I know that you have great plans for me, plans to prosper me and to give me a hope and a future.

You made me to stand out, not to fit in.  I celebrate my uniqueness and I have something that no one else has to offer.  Forgive me for conforming, comparing and competing. I will be most successful when I am truly free to be me.

I forgive everyone in my past who has wounded me because I cannot achieve all that you have for me when I have unforgiveness in my heart.  Help me to let go completely.

I will find my true identity when I draw near to you and know you more.  Give me a hunger and thirst to know you more.  Renew my mind as I study your Word.  Replace every thought that is not of you with your thoughts about me. Apart from you, I can do nothing. Help me to take on the challenges and press through the resistance of comfort that try to keep me from my destiny.  I want to be a light to my family, coworkers, friends, and everyone I encounter.

I thank you in advance that I will see clearly, understand, and embrace the purpose for my life.  I will not settle for good, but I will partner with you so that I may receive your best!

In Jesus’ name, Amen!
